Losing What I Loved About My Ex

While moving into the second apartment I will share with my current boyfriend, I found, in a drawer tucked under empty jewelry boxes, a love letter from my ex.

I have deleted every picture of him I’ve come across, thrown away all the gifts he gave me, everything he ever made me. But this letter, this letter I cannot bring myself to destroy. This letter I find every year or so and every year or so I cannot part with it. Every time I read it, I walk away with different feelings about the letter, about him, about our relationship.
